Product description
The ULTIMA series is the result of over 40 years of experience designing speakers. It stands for extremely good sound at a reasonable price like no other speaker. With premium-class technologies, it reproduces balanced sound with Teufel’s classic punchy bass.
One special feature of the ULTIMA is that it still sounds big even for quiet background music. The ULTIMA series means that you get to experience music, games and TV audio the way they are supposed to sound regardless of volume.
Our laboratories and anechoic chambers are still where we engineered the current ULTIMA Mk4 Series. We gave the design a facelift and made it look a little nicer – it is now more timeless and modern than ever. We also incorporated tons of customer feedback.
The front, which now features a very purist design, has also hidden the cover mounts better. The covers themselves look more elegant and feel similar to a high-quality textile, which makes them easier to fit into any living room.
The new ULTIMA 20 (Mk4) is a new design object for your living room. They fit harmonically into your interior and their audio performance will bring your shows, movies, games, and music to the next level. Teufel's legendary Berlin-engineered bass make them one of Europe's most popular speakers.

"... uncompromising and exceptionally well-made…"
“The Teufel Ultima 20 are uncompromising and highly successful bookshelf speakers that, thanks to their dynamic performance, excellent soundstage reproduction and rich low-end, can easily fill rooms of up to 25 square metres.”
“…a clear recommendation.”
"It cannot be said often enough: the Teufel ULTIMA speaker series is a true classic and still a clear recommendation. […] The ULTIMA 40 and ULTIMA 20 remain real sound performers and are virtually unbeatable in terms of price-performance ratio. Even as a powerful 5.1 home cinema set in combination with the active T10 subwoofer, the 2025 update of the series remains the ultimate speaker recommendation for ambitious movie fans."
The Teufel Ultima speaker series has an iconic look.
“The subtle cosmetic changes to the German manufacturer’s popular speakers, which primarily focuses on good value for money, give them a decidedly chic and modern look.”
“Few speakers in this price range have this much drive”
"Even in its fourth generation, the Teufel Ultima 20 bookshelf speakers still offer great value for money. Their lively sound is just as enjoyable as part of a hi-fi system as it is in a home cinema setup."
They are versatile and, given their very competitive price, deliver solid performance.
"The Ultima 20 Mk4 is the most affordable passive speaker in Teufel's range (€250 per pair) and although straightforward, clearly has ambitions when it comes to sound quality."
