“An excellent price-to-performance ratio…”
“In short, it’s fair to say that it’s probably hard to find a better active speaker system for less money. The ULTIMA 25 ACTIVE 2 offers a well-thought-out and coherent overall package, with great practical versatility and exceptional sound quality.”
“Excellent price-to-performance ratio: the Teufel ULTIMA 25 ACTIVE 2 impresses with its flawless finish, practical features and first-class sound.”
“The Ultima 25 Aktiv 2 turns film sound into an experience…”
“The Ultima 25 Aktiv 2 turns film soundtracks into an experience, just like its predecessor. The bass sounds more controlled, whilst the sound level remains consistently high. With music, there’s a slight lack of transparency and nuance, but the sound is still dynamic and largely uncoloured. Film sound enthusiasts will appreciate the option to upgrade to a wireless 2.1 or even 4.1 system.”
Score: 8.5/10
The sound is incredibly good
They want you to forget about the amplifier
The system delivers 100 W of power across the two speakers, along with Dolby Digital support. The HDMI ARC connection allows you to receive audio from your TV using a single cable and make use of its CEC functions, meaning the system can take the place of a separate amplifier or AV receiver.
